At JEA, storm preparedness is of the utmost importance. As part of our pre-storm preparedness exercise, I prepared a playbook of how every aspect of jea.com would progress as we moved through all of the phases of Storm Mode: Storm Pending, Public Safety, Individual Repairs, and Final Repairs to our massive territory of electric systems. 
During this project, I also initiated a project to create an automated signal for Phase 1 messaging. This way, in the event of a major disaster, alert messages could be placed on the website by those running our outage system, not front-end web developers, reducing the amount of time it would take to alert customers of outages.
